Brownlee Foundation Bike & Run Kid's Activity
Attending the event this year, running a bike and run activity for young people in our event village is the Brownlee Foundation.
Founded by Olympic Triathlon Champions Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee, the foundation has a goal to inspire children from all backgrounds to enjoy sport, encouraging them to lead active lifestyles and benefit from the opportunities sport provides.
The activities will be provided free of charge. Bikes are provided but are appropriately sized for Key Stage 2 students (ages 7 – 11). Children wishing to participate who are younger or older than this can bring their own bikes and helmets. Please note any bikes not supplied by the Foundation are under the responsibility of parents/ guardians to ensure they are safe, roadworthy and in good condition.
A donation to the Foundation for all those taking part would be hugely appreciated to help them keep their amazing work in schools and the community going in the years to come. The best way to do this is through their online giving page.
Children should come ready with a drink, trainers and suitable clothing to take part in some physical activity.
